Kolja Malik writes his first screenplay at the age of eleven. In his teens he receives various prizes for young film makers. 

In 2018 the 30 minutes short film STORKOW KALIFORNIA, shot during Malik’s studies at Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemberg, opens the section Perspektive deutsches Kino at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) and is part of the Short Film Corner at the Festival de Cannes 2018.

Maliks feature film LASVEGAS (shot in Berlin, Los Angeles, Hildesheim and Las Vegas) is going to start in german cinemas in january 2024 (Farbfilm Verleih).
